Load pins
The classic installation in sheaves or rope end attachments. The force is measured along the direction of the resultant, suited to retrofitting load measurement into existing structures.
Installation in sheaves or rope end attachments, machined from stainless steel and customised to the specific installation requirements.
Measurement principle
The load pin replaces a load-bearing structural pin and measures the transverse force along the direction of the resultant. Inside the pin, the shear-stress-induced deformations are picked up by four strain gauges (SG) wired as a full bridge and output as a bridge signal.
Geometry, bearing surfaces and connection are matched to the installation. This makes it possible to retrofit a load measurement into existing structures without altering their load-bearing behaviour.
