Distance sensors
Laser-based distance sensor, measuring range up to 50 m, current-loop or IO-Link output.
Laser-based distance sensor with measuring range up to 50 m, current loop or IO-Link, laser class 1.
Measurement principle
The sensor measures distance via the time-of-flight of a pulsed laser beam to the target and back. The red laser used is class 1 and eye-safe in continuous operation, so no protective eyewear is needed during operation, which makes it considerably easier to deploy in crane and plant environments.
The distance is available either as an analogue current loop (4…20 mA) for the PLC or digitally over IO-Link. IO-Link additionally exposes diagnostics, parameter setting and switching-point definition without having to remove the sensor.
